Dubai Islamic Freelancer Account is a Pakistani Rupee and Foreign Currency based current account designed exclusively for freelancers. Freelancers can now easily receive their work payments / remittances from abroad directly into their personal accounts and enjoy various benefits of a full-fledged account.
DIB Freelancer Account is based on the Qard contract where the depositor permits the bank to use or invest his money in its Sharia compliant investments and is neither entitled to investment profit nor does the account holder bear any risk of loss.

Q. Who can open freelance accounts?
All individuals, resident in Pakistan, engaged in provision of any digital/online services, including IT and IT related services against which payments are received from outside Pakistan
Q. What are the mandatory requirement for opening freelancer account?
- CNIC/ NICOP/ POC number – Date of issuance of CNIC/ NICOP/ POC
- Full Name (as per identity document)
- Father/ Spouse Name
- Date of Birth
- Place of Birth
- Mother’s Maiden Name
- Phone Number (mobile number)
- Email Address
- Postal Address
- In case of minor, account will be opened with guardian, and above information about the guardian will also be obtained in addition to minor’s information

Q. Being a Freelancer, can I open a FCY account?
Yes, being a freelancer, you can open a non checking foreign currency account in AED GBP EURO USD in DIBPL.
A non checking account is an account where withdrawal and usage of funds are restricted. However, funds in DIB FCY freelance account can be used for international payments or can be withdrawn as PKR.
Q. As freelancer, can I receive my commercial remittance in my PKR / FCY account?
You can receive your freelancing payments in your PKR account and retain USD 5,000/- per month or 50% of the export proceeds (whichever is higher) in your Exporter Special Foreign Currency Accounts (ESFCAs).
Q. What rate will be applied on the conversion of my inward foreign remittance?
Exchange rates are dynamic and new conversion rates are announced daily by the Bank for inward foreign remittance.
Q. Can I make outward remittance from my FCY account?
Outward remittance from FCY account is allowed for making all personal and own work-related payments abroad (for example, digital services, digital marketing, membership/ subscription fees, acquiring certification, study etc.)
