Wazir-e-Azam Apna Ghar Program- Ghar Ho Tu Apna Shariah-Compliant Financing Scheme
The Wazir-e-Azam Apna Ghar Program- Ghar Ho Tu Apna Shariah-Compliant Financing Scheme is a government-backed housing finance initiative supervised by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). It has been designed to make home ownership easier for low and middle-income families across Pakistan.
Through this scheme, eligible citizens can apply for financing to buy or build their first home at affordable profit rates and with flexible repayment options. It also offers risk-sharing support to participating banks, ensuring transparency and stability for both customers and institutions.
Key Highlights
| Eligibility: | First-time homeowners who are citizens of Pakistan holding CNICs not owning any housing unit in their name |
| Financing Options: | Purchase of house/flat construction of house on an already owned plot or purchase of plot and construction of house |
| Unit size: | House up to 10 Marla (2,720 sq. ft.). Flat up to 1,500 sq. ft. |
| Shariah-Compliant Financing Amount: | Up to PKR 10 Million |
| Financing Tenor: | 20 years (subsidy for 10 years) |
How to Apply
- Visit any participating bank branch with your CNIC.
- Request the Wazir-e-Azam Apna Ghar Program- Ghar Ho Tu Apna Shariah-Compliant Financing Scheme application form.
- Submit required documents including proof of income and property details.
- The bank will assess eligibility and Shariah-Compliant Financing amount.
- Upon approval, the Shariah-Compliant Financing will be disbursed as per plan. This initiative reflects the Government of Pakistan’s continued commitment to inclusive growth, financial accessibility, and sustainable housing development.
